Terms of Service
Last updated: February 11, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Status Link. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Status Link platform, including our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Status Link is operated by Status Link ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Status Link is a software-as-a-service platform that allows agencies, freelancers, and teams to turn their internal project management boards (such as Trello or Jira) into branded, read-only client status pages. These status pages are accessible via unique magic links and do not require clients to create an account or log in.
3. Account Registration & Responsibilities
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password, or by authenticating through a supported OAuth provider (such as Google). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and up-to-date information
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Magic Link Access
Workspaces you create are accessible to your clients via unique slug-based URLs ("magic links"). You are responsible for managing access to these links, including:
- Choosing appropriate expiry settings (never, 30 days, 90 days, or a custom date)
- Revoking access when no longer needed
- Regenerating links if a URL has been shared with unintended recipients
Anyone who possesses a valid, non-expired, non-revoked magic link can view the associated workspace. Status Link is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your distribution of magic links.
5. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party project management tools, including Trello and Jira. When you connect a third-party service:
- You authorize us to access your data on that platform via OAuth tokens stored securely in our database
- You remain subject to that third party's terms of service and privacy policy
- We only access the data necessary to sync your project boards to Status Link workspaces
- You may disconnect integrations at any time, which will remove stored OAuth tokens
6. Subscription & Billing
Status Link offers three plan tiers, each with different workspace limits:
- Free — Up to 2 workspaces, no payment required
- Pro — Up to 10 workspaces
- Agency — Unlimited workspaces
All payments are processed securely by our payment provider, LemonSqueezy. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:
- Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) and auto-renew unless cancelled
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period
- We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
For details on refunds, please see our Refund Policy.
7. Data Storage
Your data, including workspace information, phases, activities, and account settings, is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Uploaded files (such as workspace logos) are stored in Supabase Storage. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including row-level security policies on all database tables.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Distribute malicious software or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Use the Service for any purpose other than its intended use
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Status Link and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all content you create or upload through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Status Link shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, upon reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
