FAQ
Jira integration questions
No. Clients access the status page through a magic link — no Atlassian account, no Jira license, no login. They see a clean, branded dashboard with just the project status.
Issue summary, status, assignee, due date, labels, and subtask completion counts. Issue descriptions, comments, and attachments are never exposed on the client-facing page.
StatusLink currently supports Jira Cloud via the Atlassian OAuth 2.0 (3LO) flow. Jira Server and Data Center are not yet supported but are on our roadmap.
StatusLink reads the status categories from your Jira project (To Do, In Progress, Done) and maps them to client-friendly phase statuses. You can override any mapping during workspace setup — useful for projects with custom workflow states.
Yes. Each workspace connects to one Jira project, but you can create multiple workspaces — each with its own project, branding, and magic link. The Free plan includes 2 workspaces, Pro allows 10, and Agency is unlimited.
All OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. Refresh tokens are handled server-side only and are never exposed to the browser. StatusLink requests only the minimum scopes needed to read your project data.
